Development of the Directory
The original paper directory upon which this online version is based was commissioned by Surrey County Council Adults and Community Care Service, and was researched and compiled by Caroline Hill and Andy Mizen, with support from clients and staff from Oakleaf Enterprise.
Originally, the aim was to collate information on social care and community resources for people with an interest in mental health issues, whether as clients, carers, family, staff or other organisations. However, there is an impressive array of community support and cultural richness in South West Surrey, supporting people in a variety of ways and this directory is aimed at anyone living or working in this area.
We have worked hard to make the directory as up-to-date and accurate as possible but it can be difficult to keep up with the speed of organisational change. We also apologise to any organisation that we may have inadvertently left out. Inclusion is not intended as any reflection on the quality of services provided.
